Sydney Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday received a boomerang as a present during a traditional welcome by aboriginal dance performers as he touched down in thisa Australin city.

Modi termed the welcome "amazing".

Modi, who arrived here from Brisbane, watched the aboriginal dance performance at his hotel. 

Later the dancers presented him with a boomerang.

"Amazing welcome in Sydney. Glad to be here," he tweeted.

Modi also spoke to the dancers.
