New Delhi: India''s strategic missile Agni-1 of 700 k.m. range was successfully tested on Thursday. The user trial was carried out at 09.30 hrs on from Wheeler Islands in Odisha state by an army team.
The missile indegenously developed by DRDO is already in the arsenal of Indian Armed Forces. It was launched from Road Mobile Launcher System and reached the target point in the Bay of Bengal.
DRDO spokeperson Ravi Gupta told BDK here, ''The missile was tracked by Radar, Telemetry stations located along the coastline. Two Naval Ships located near the target point tracked the missile in the terminal phase of the Flight''.
