Dr. Tyagi calls for need to develop indigenous civil aircraft & UAVs

Nasik: The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI),Nasik Branch in association with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., Nasik organised a two days  National Conference on 22-23 Oct 2018 at Nasik.  The theme of the Conference was “Life Cycle Management of Aircraft and Systems”.

The Seminar  provided a platform for all the stake holders to understand the importance of Product Life Cycle i.e. its multiple phases, skills, tools and processes involved. 

Shri Sheshagiri Rao, Chairman, AeSI welcomed the august gathering.  During his address Dr. RK Tyagi, President, AeSI emphasized on the requirements of knowledge sharing between all the aviation agencies.  Dr. RK Tyagi also  spoke at length about the future role of The Aeronautical Society of India and other aerospace agencies for development of regional transport aircraft and UAVs.

Shri R. Madhavan, Chairman & Managing Director, HAL spoke about the efficacy of life cycle management process.The Seminar was also addressed by Dr. Ranganayakulu, OS & Scientist H, Aeronautical Development Agency on the topic of “the complete cycle of Design & development of environmental control systems and its components”. Shri BD Chalwade, GM (RWR&DC) spoke on “Challenges in providing Life time support for indigenously designed and developed helicopters”.

Shri Jitendra J Jadhav, Director, CSIR-NAL spoke on the subject of “The role of CSIR-NAL for development of civil/military aircraft and recovery of ageing aircraft”.  He has meticulously explained the major technology developed at CIR-NAL  during the design and development of LCA aircraft such as sits composite structure and control law design.

Prof. N. Ramachandran, Vice Chancellor, Sandip University, Shri SachinSood, Scientist F, Project (NGARM), DRDL, Hyderabad, Prof. Dr. Om Prakash Kulkarni, a renowned Scientist dwelt on “Unmanned Aerial Vehicles”. About 400 delegates from all over India attended the Seminar.
