Rostec in AERO INDIA-2017, to conduct strategic negotiations

New Delhi: Rostec State Corporation will present the latest developments in aircraft technology, air defence and radio-electronic warfare at "Aero India 2017" international aerospace exhibition taking place in Bangalore (India) from 14 to 18 February. Rostec intends to conduct negotiations with strategic partners in the framework of executing current and negotiating new contracts.

At "Aero India-2017" international aerospace exhibition over 300 samples of modern Russian military products will be presented. Over more than 900 square meters of the Russian exposition six production holdings of Rostec will present their technologies: Russian Helicopters, KRET, Technodinamika, UEC, Schwabe and Tecmash, as well as the military products exporter Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec SC). 

At Aero India-2017 Rostec State Corporation delegation is planning to hold negotiations with representatives of the Indian government, heads of India’s Ministry of Defence and IAF, as well as HAL, Larsen & Toubro and Bharat Forge and the industrial business community of India. Also high-level talks with Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, France, Greece, South Africa, Myanmar and other countries are scheduled. The joint Rostec and Rosoboronexport delegation is headed by the Director of International Cooperation and Regional Policy Viktor Kladov.

Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov: "AeroIndia-2017 is an important event for India’s and regional aviation market. India has for many years been a strategic partner of the Rostec. The Modi government adopted the ‘Make in India’ course aimed at localization of production of military products in India and involves creation of joint ventures and transfer of technology. In the framework of this program we have signed an agreement to establish a joint venture for the production of Ka-226T in October 2016 at the BRICS summit. Now there is active implementation of this project. We are also working on the expansion of cooperation in various fields in accordance with the program – in the traditional sphere of military-technical cooperation and in non-military areas: electronics, biotechnology and composite materials."

Among the presented models of arms and military equipment at Aero India – 2017 to the Air Force the most promising is considered to be the Su-30MKI fighter jet and components for its modernization, Su-35 fighter jet, MiG-35 frontline fighter, Il-76MD-90A transport aircraft, Be-200 amphibious aircraft, Ka-226T light helicopter, Mi-17V-5 and Mi-26T2 military-transport helicopters, as well as Mi-28NE and Ka-52 combat helicopters. Many of these have been used by Russian Armed Forces in the anti-terrorist operations in Syria and have proven as a reliable, high-quality and trouble-free weapons that can perform combat missions in the real world.

In addition to the aircraft, there is expected interest from customers for Russian air defences that will be displayed - S-400 "Triumf" system, "Pantsir-S1" complex, "Tor M2KM" complex and the portable complex "Igla-S".

Rostec is a Russian corporation, created in 2007 to promote development, production and export of high-tech industrial products for civil and military purposes. It is comprised of over 700 organizations, which form 9 holding companies in the military-industrial complex and 6 in civilian industries, as well as 32 organizations under direct management.

Rostec portfolio includes such well-known brands as AvtoVAZ, KAMAZ, Concern Kalashnikov, Russian Helicopters, VSMPO-AVISMA and others. Rostec organizations supply to and operate in over 70 countries. Consolidated revenues of Rostec companies in 2015 exceeded 1.14 trillion rubles (over 19 billion USD). According to the new Rostec strategy, the main objective of the corporation is to provide a technological advantage to Russia in highly competitive global markets. The planned investment volume for the development program until 2025 is over 4.3 trillion rubles (over 70 billion USD).
