Guwahati : At least six people linked to Meghalaya s Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) were arrested in Assam Saturday and police seized arms and ammunition from them.
The consignment, including rocket launchers, shells and pistols, were found from Gorchuk area of the city, a police officer said.
It is suspected that the consignment was on its way to GNLA camps in Garo Hills in Meghalaya through Goalpara in Assam.
Police declined to divulge the identity of the arrested persons.
